Android Is Biggest Rival Of Apple Os

Despite having the most popular smartphone in UK now Apple loses more ground to Android. It seems Android Operating system is getting more popular as compare to Apple Operating system. Over the past year, Apple iPhone 4 was the most popular UK smartphone and according to research by Com Tech showed "Apple share of growing smartphone market fell from over 30 percent to 18.3 percent".

Over the past year, the UK smartphone market has grown massively and the owners of the device continue to upgrade to smartphone. It is also expected that By June 2012 more than 50 percent of mobile owners will have smartphone.

Nokia is known for their impressive smartphone and design but it have also failed with its Symbian OS to make an powerful impact. In today's time, many people are talking about the Android smartphone such as Samsung, HTC, Motorola and also Sony Ericsson making and marketing Android device. There is rumors of a cheap iPhone being on the horizon which seem to make a lot of sense.

Despite a drop in market share, Apple is hoping strong smartphone sales growth. It is the same story as we have heard about the RIM whose Blackberry range continues to make an powerful impact. It is doing good in picking up upgrading feature phone customers like Apple moved from 5.6 percent to 10.3 percent.
